OUR TECHNICAL DIVISIONS ARE WHERE TEAM NOX'S STUDENT
ENGINEERS COME TO COLLABORATE AND BUILD. THEY ALLOW
MEMBERS WITH VARYING SKILL SETS AND INTERESTS TO WORK
TOGETHER ON BUILDING AND TESTING OUR ROBOTS. OUR
TECHNICAL DIVISIONS ALLOW ALL MEMBERS TO LEARN AND
APPLY THEIR KNOWLEDGE FROM AN EASY ENTRY POINT WHILE
STILL ALLOWING MORE EXPERIENCED MEMBERS TO FURTHER
DEVELOP THEIR SKILLS.

OPERATIONS
OUR OPERATIONS DIVISIONS ARE WHERE TEAM NOX'S STUDENTS
COLLABORATE, ORGANIZE, AND LEAD THE TEAM OUTSIDE OF THE
ROBOT. THEY ALLOW STUDENTS WITH DIFFERENT SKILLS AND
INTERESTS TO COME TOGETHER IN OUTREACH, FINANCE,
MARKETING, STRATEGY, AND MORE. OUR OPERATIONS DIVISIONS
SERVE AS AN ACCESSIBLE GATEWAY TO LEADERSHIP POSITIONS
WHERE STUDENTS CAN DEVELOP THEIR COMMUNICATION AND
BUSINESS SKILLS AND ALLOW OUR MORE EXPERIENCED MEMBERS
TO TAKE ON GREATER RESPONSIBILITIES AND INFLUENCE THE
FUTURE OF TEAM NOX.
TECHNICAL DIVISIONS
MECHANICAL
The Mechanical division is where Nox's ideas come to life.
Students build, assemble, and test the mechanisms that allow
our robots to compete on the field. Members develop skills in
fabrication, assembly, and mechanical design while learning
how different parts work together as one robot. Through
hands-on experience, students also learn to troubleshoot
mechanical issues, improve existing mechanisms, and build
reliable systems designed for competition.
DESIGN
The Design division is where ideas come to life at Nox.
Members within this department utilize Computer Aided Design
programs such as Onshape and Fusion 360 to implement ideas
and concepts where mechanisms and assemblies are created and
tested prior to being built. Students consider factors like
material, weight, size constraints, and more to create
high-performing designs.
ELECTRICAL
The Electrical division is responsible for powering and
connecting the systems that bring our robots to life.
Students learn proper wiring practices for motors, sensors,
controllers, and power systems while understanding how
electrical components connect and communicate. Members also
develop skills in troubleshooting, organization, and
maintaining reliable electrical systems throughout the season.

SOFTWARE
The Software division develops the code that controls our
robot. Students work with odometry, telemetry, sensor
integration, PID control, and more to create responsive and
reliable systems. Members develop skills in debugging, data
analysis, and control theory while collaborating with other
technical divisions to improve robot performance and ensure
systems work smoothly together.
OPERATIONS DIVISIONS
FINANCE
The Finance division manages the financial systems that keep
Team Nox operating. Students work with budgeting, purchasing,
grants, fundraising, and sponsorships while learning how to
organize resources and make informed financial decisions.
Members help ensure that the team has the funding and
materials needed to build, compete, and continue growing.
OUTREACH
The Outreach division connects Team Nox with the communities
around us. Students organize STEM events, demonstrations,
partnerships, mentorship opportunities, and other initiatives
that introduce others to robotics and engineering. Members
develop communication and leadership skills while expanding
the team's impact beyond competition.
MARKETING
The Marketing division develops and maintains the Team Nox
brand. Students work with photography, social media, graphics,
video, communications, and visual storytelling to showcase the
team's work. Members learn how to present Team Nox
professionally while creating media that connects with
students, sponsors, and the wider community.
STRATEGY
The Strategy division analyzes information to help Team Nox
make informed decisions during competition. Students work
with scouting data, match analysis, game objectives, and
alliance information to identify strengths, weaknesses, and
opportunities. Members develop analytical and communication
skills while helping shape the team's approach on the field.
